ARBETSBESKRIVNING:

Purpose of role:

  • Ensures that responsible store achieve company sales and productivity targets
  • Ensures that in-store customer service standard is at company standard
  • Ensures that store image is at corporate standard
  • Support  boutique manager to manage store staff on their motivation, development, direction and performance management
  • Leverages hands on operations experience to communicate and make recommendations to the boutique manager in improving efficiency and effectiveness
  • Upholds the ethos and values of The Body Shop

Primary Accountabilities:

Sales Management

  • Drives to achieve all key performance Indicators through managing and coaching direct reports.
  • Effectively use of sales reports to monitor the sales performance of the store.
  • Communicates targets, progress and achievements effectively and consistently to the store team and individual direct reports.
  • Takes initiative to report details regularly to DOM and provides constructive and high quality feedback and solutions to improve and maximize performance.
  • Proactively maintains awareness of market trends in the retail industry, understanding upcoming customer initiatives, and monitoring activities of local competitors.
  • Effectively coaches, trains, and develops direct reports to prioritize demands of the business.
  • Ensures flawless execution of  window events and sales activities at store level.
Customer Service
  • Ensures consistent and highest standards of customer service in accordance with Inspiring The Customer Promises.
  • Effectively uses customer feedback and Mystery Shopper program to communicate expectations and coach direct reports.
  • Role models consistently Inspiring The Customer Service Promises.
  • Leverages Love Your Body program to increase customer loyalty through effective recruitment practices.
  • Proactively responds to customer concerns and complaints by engaging all available resources to ensure customer retention.
  • Consistently coaches direct reports on and off the floor to improve customer service.
  • Proactively recognizes positive customer service actions and decisions of direct reports.
  • Prioritizes developing a motivated and cohesive team to ensure customer satisfaction.
Operations and Visual Merchandising
  • Maintains uncompromising standards in store visual merchandising in a way that ensures the best customer shopping experience.
  • Ensures store operations is efficient and effective in the following areas:

o   Front and back of house facilities maintenance

o   Overall store cleanliness and organization all of the time

o   Efficient operational flow that prioritizes customer expectations and experience

o   Administrative tasks that facilitates smooth store operations

o   Compliance to company policies and procedures


People Development and Team Management
  • Work with Boutique Manager to set clear expectations with direct reports and holds them accountable to their performance commitments.
  • Assesses direct reports’ readiness and creates opportunities for direct reports to take on more responsibilities through delegation, coaching and effective communication.
  • Prioritizes team work and motivation while maintaining healthy staff turnover.
  • Effectively resolves team conflicts and provides leadership in solving staff issues.
  • Support Boutique Manager to recruit, select and hire Beauty Advisors to ensure team stability.
  • Share fair and honest  opinion with the Boutique Manager on the store team to support the performance appraisal review and also through one-on-one conversations.
  • Effectively uses performance appraisal tools and takes initiative to seek out other coaching and development tools and resources.
  • Prioritizes staff product and skills training when planning store calendars and schedules.
  • Ensures all new hires are trained and completes induction process in a timely manner.
  • Takes on the role of The Body Shop Values champion to inspire and encourage staff to participate in activities that creates positive social and environmental changes.
Stock Management
  • Ensures compliance to all stock management procedures and ensures the accuracy of inventory receipt, transfer and returns.
  • Ensures shrinkage is minimize through consistently effective organizing and tracking of inventory movements.
  • Ensures proper tracking and management of  stocks write-offs of testers and samples.
  • Ensures all stocks in-store are in compliance with local labelling and consumer regulations.

Compliance and Risk/Loss Prevention

  • Ensures all staffing and hiring practices are compliant with local labour laws.
  • Ensures compliance to cash handling, payment processing and point-of-sale procedures.
  • Maintains a healthy track record of point-of-sale processes and cash handling records.
  • Is responsible for maintaining the ethical standards of The Body Shop including minimising the environmental, health and safety risks in the workplace and responsible for reporting potential risks, real accidents and near misses to relevant managers.
  • Maintains strict levels of confidentiality with regard to all areas of the business with specific reference to personal details of employees and commercial information.

Experience:

  • At least 3 years retail experience in managerial level

Qualifications: 

  • Diploma in Retail Management

Competencies required:

  • Knowledge of personal care / skin care products and its industry dynamics is an advantage.
  • Computer literacy (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Fluent spoken and written Chinese, Mandarin and English.
  • Manage changes with forward planning ability.
  • Demonstrates commitment to the values of an organisation and it’s ethical objectives.
